Did you know that WUVT's semesterly fundraiser is coming up NEXT WEEK?
That's right. Radiothon begins on October 29th and rides all the way until November 5th. On the way we'll be accompanied by Charlotte's finest: Daddy's Beemer, as well as Push Pass. We'll be at Gillie's on Saturday, November 3rd gettin' down starting at 10p.m.
The event is 18+ and we hope to see everyone (of legal age) there!
Music lovers! Do you like local shows? Do you like supporting local environmental causes with those shows?? Do you like very fancy drinks???? I know you do!! If you're looking to dodge the Valentine's Day craze this Wednesday, come down to XYZ art gallery for a special event! The Environmental Coalition at Virginia Tech and your favorite radio station are throwing a benefit show to support resistance against the Mountain Valley Pipeline, and we'd love to see you there. Rachel Angel, Isaac Gillespie, and The Mothmen all will be preforming and they are all ~fantastic~ performers. Handcrafted (non-alcoholic) libations will also be lovingly made and served by some of our wonderful DJs. Come see what else the evening holds in store at 7pm this Wednesday at XYZ art gallery! Entry is $5. More info can be found at the Facebook event.
Hello radio freaks! Once again the celestial bodies have aligned and the time is right for our semesterly organizational meeting! This semester's Orgy will take place at 6pm on February 12th in 102 Johnston Student Center! Come learn about our beloved radio station and how YOU can get involved. If you're into music, art, engineering, or if you want to become one of Woovit's lovely radio DJs there's something here for everyone. Here's the link for our Facebook event.
You like good music, right? What a silly question. You listen to Woovit, so of course you do!
Next Monday, October 9, we're partnering with Virginia Tech's Students of Hip-Hop Legacy to bring you what's sure to be an absolutely killer show. We have Nnamdi Ogbonnaya, Newman, and Benny Okoto swinging by town to bring you aural sensations the likes of which the New River Valley sees but once in an aeon of this world. In other words - it's going to be really good.
The show is at Sycamore Deli in downtown Blacksburg. Doors at 8:30, show at 9:00. It's 18+ (but 21+ only admitted after 11PM). Tickets can be purchased at this link. They're $10 presale online, but $12 for folks 21 and over and $13 for those under 21 at the door, so be sure to buy them early! And be sure to mark that you're going on our Facebook event!

It's time. The one-and-only, legendary WUVT Orgy is near! That's right, radio folks, our semesterly organizational meeting will take place Wednesday, September 20th at 7PM in Squires Student Center, in room Brush Mountain A. Everyone is welcome to attend to hear our staffheads talk about why WUVT is the best (and how they had no friends before joining WUVT, as is tradition). Old faces and new friends alike will find something to love about the event, and help share the love of college radio.
There will also be a post-Orgy acoustic show and CD swap at John's Camera Corner afterwards! Bring a friend and a mix CD to discover new music and listen to some chill jams from a variety of local musicians. You can find more information on the Facebook event page at this link!
