On Friday, November 3rd, WUVT Engineering installed and switched to broadcasting via our new Nautel GV5 transmitter to replace our aging transmitter. This new transmitter will allow WUVT to continue broadcasting to the New River Valley at full power for at least 25 years, as well as having improved signal quality and reliability.
Specifically, WUVT wants to thank Josh Arritt, Jon Light, Eric Landgraf, and Jason Purdue for installation, Steve Floyd for investigating, recommending and negotiating a significant discount on behalf of WUVT, and Linda DeVito for coordinating the receipt of the necessary funds. The amount of work all of these individuals have contributed is enormous.
Lastly, WUVT wants to thank our donors and alumni network again for making this happen smoothly in conjunction with our 75th-Anniversary reunion last semester. Thank you for keeping WUVT on the airwaves and College Radio alive.

Get ready to pose for some pictures and put on the dancing shoes as it is time for WUVT's annual Goth Prom. The fan-favorite event will be filled with amazing music from local artists that are ready to make the night one to remember. Jam with Drook, Dumpster Raccoons and Welp at the Milk Parlor on Monday, April 24. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the music beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Cover is seven dollars for those 21 and older and 10 dollars for anyone under 21.
You can get all of these by donating during Radiothon from March 27th to April 2nd! Donate online or by phone to the fundraiser and receive premiums! You will receive all the premiums up to your certain donation number. Call in at 540-231-WUVT.

Join WUVT at the Odd Fellows on March 25th for a night filled with the sweetest jazz melodies provided by Copy Cat Syndrome and Yung LZRD. Entrance to this event is ticket only with a maximum of 50 being sold. Doors open at 6 pm and the music starts at 7 pm. The address for the event is 199 Wilson Avenue, Blacksburg VA.
