Radiothon, Pt. 3: The Radiothon-a-thon
written by Emmet Hobgood on
Radiothon continues and the station is abuzz with excitement! We had a great day today in the studio and out on campus with the Remote. The weather was typical Blacksburg spring - warm and sunny! And then a bit rainy. But thankfully, the weather cleared up and was a pleasant, cool day for most of it. The airwaves were full of great tunes all day along, and is a great indication of what's to come.
Here's another update on Radiothon's progress from your General Manager (me!):
Hello again, my faithful Wooviteers-
As we wrap up Day 2 of Radiothon, the dedication of our DJs and our staff continues to amaze me. The time and effort that goes into making the greatest week of radio a reality is a truly impressive sight, and we're humming along to a fantastic week overall.
All of our supporters have had a great showing so far in helping us move ever closer towards our goal, and I know it will keep up. Our current donation total is $3,398.07 which is twice as much as yesterday - good to keep pace! To reach our goal of $15,000, we'll need to pick up the pace as we move deeper. This is where you, our wonderful listeners, come in. So make sure to keep listening, keep calling, and keep spreading the word to support WUVT!
Keep groovin',
Emmet Hobgood
