Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds- Wild God
Label: Play it Again Sam
Genre: Folk/Americana

Nick Cave continues to put out phenomenal music with The Bad Seeds, and I'd argue that this release is his best work with the group. With a common theme of louder tracks and heavier lyrics, Wild God completely immerses you for a wonderful listening experience. The backing reminds me a lot of the Arcade Fire album from a couple years ago if it was balanced better and down tempo.
Hinds- Viva Hinds
Label: Lucky Number
Genre: Indie Rock/Indie Pop
Reviewed by: Brody Toth
Hinds are a group I'm surprised I haven't heard of yet. European post punk with some heavy indie pop influences is typical on my radar. I think that the songs that have more of the rock/sporadic feel to them (1,3, 6, 8, 9) are the best on the album. They have a great sense of timing in those moments, but the softer songs are good as well. Tracks 2, 4, 5, 7 can fit well on any kind of indie pop rotation while the others can blend a bit better into a rock rotation.
MJ Lenderman- Manning Fireworks
Label: Anti
Genre: Indie Pop Rock/Alternative Country

For Fans Of: Wednesday, Indigo De Souza, Waxahatchee, Greg Mendez
MJ “Jake” Lenderman loves to use the Appalachian influence that he gets from his hometown in Asheville, NC both musically and lyrically. This album is no exception, if anything an amplification of that. Lenderman keeps his witty remarks and tells stories of people and relationships in Manning Fireworks. What makes it different from his previous works is that he had not really delved into the religious/God-fearing subjects until Manning Fireworks. Along with the lyrics, there is an emphasis on the twangy-ness in the music we hear more of each time he releases a new album. The differences from song to song melodically are subtle, yet noticeable. Tracks 1, 6, and 7 are on the softer, folky end while tracks 4 and 9 are more rock adjacent. Lenderman’s guitar shredding is killer as usual. A great listen for those interested in the crossover of indie pop-rock and alternative country. Overall, really freaking awesome and epic PLAY IT!!

Los Bitchos- Talkie Talkie
Label: City Slang
Genre: Indie Pop Rock / So Cal Pop Rock
Reviewed by: Len Comaratta
Mostly instrumental; kinda a SoCal Latin vibe to it; If Los Bitchos’ electrifying 2022 debut album Let the Festivities Begin! was the rowdy build up to the big night out, then Talkie Talkie is the Technicolor explosion of the dancefloor. From dynamic guitar riffs to infectious beats, it represents a bold step forward in their unique blend of global rock'n'roll influences.

Salvia Palth- Last Chance to See
Label: Danger Collective
Genre: Melancholic Indie Mood
Reviewed by: Len Comaratta
It’s been nearly 8 years since the last release, Melanchole, yet there’s still an appreciation for the reverb texture and vocal delivery that made their first project give itself character. The biggest difference is the lean towards the dreamier sounds more directly; By eschewing the more experimental tape music thoughts of the debut, Last Chance to See feels more focused, with a goal for its sound that it undeniably hits.
